The color for underpainting is raw sienna mixed with white. Even one coat of fairly thin yellow shows the advantages of underpainting a transparent color.

The emblem I'm painting is on the back of the fuselage, near the stars & bars, of the EC-121. The man who got the F-105 and F-100 was a radar technician on these planes and it was this wing that held the reunion he attented a couple of weeks ago. The shield will be a surprise and I'll pay the shipping this time.

The wind was too much for this huge ironwood tree and the saguaro cactus growing alongside it. Both are well over 100 years old. The tree appears to be completely uprooted.
