Another masterpiece, David. That Fortress really did bristle with guns didn't it? I wonder which bomber had the most guns?

Pablo Picasso once said "If there is something to steal, I steal it!" Therefore, I thank you for all your posts and say that just like Picasso, "you know your....stuff." Extraordinary DD, simply evil.

Fantastic David, another great work of art. I am very much looking forward to watching your progress on the Savage.

Gentlemen, I thank you. I have built this, as most of my models, as the basic plane. Those of you whose hands are steadier and eyes are better are wholeheartedly encouraged to build it and finish it as you choose. The options for color schemes are as varied and as numerous as the hairs on your ass and if you wish to detail it by adding panel lines and other details, I, for one, will be most happy to see others!

I must add...all art is copied from someone else, no matter what we may think. If what we see here inspires us to try even harder to make our creations pretty, or more realistic, or to achieve the satisfaction of actually building one of these to the level that it pleases our eyes, we are well on the way to art, and as evidenced by the beautiful planes we can easily access here, we are all artists. Personally, if someone doesn't believe you, refer them to the aforementioned hairs. :-)

David... inspite of my age and life-long association with airplanes and aviation, I must say your talent is an inspiration indeed. My hangar shows 11 Guillows hanging as of Feb. '09... all of just average talent. I'm just beginning a Mitchell B 25 and am proceeding with, "If David can do it to perfection, so can I."... but I know I can't. But, your inspiration prompts me to try. I'll post along the way. Thanks for the inspiration, and the tips...

Thank you. I'm honored to believe that my efforts will inspire others in this hobby. That makes it all worth it. And about them being perfect, of course they're not. I do believe in making each one as well as I can and I just don't photograph the mistakes. You should also remember that I've built at least 80 of these over the years and in the case of this particular model, this is the third time I've built it. Thanks again for the kind words and if I may be permitted to paraphrase a song, "Anything I can do, you can do better".

Looking for a hobby 1 1/2 years past, I stumbled onto VA. Saw one of your builds....your Spirit, if I recall correctly. Look what you have turned me into!!! THANKS!
