On April 26th, 1945, Hanna Reitsch (a woman) flew a FI-156 Storch into Berlin and landed in the "Tiergarten", the Berlin Zoo. At this time, Berlin was completely encircled by soviet troops. The second crew member, General von Greim, was wounded by soviet troops that fired at the plane. Hanna Reitsch left Berlin a few days later in an Arado A-96 trainer.
