Thanks. Looking at these again, I realize that I posted the Spad on Oct. and Nov. 08....seems like only yesterday!

Thanks, David! Not exactly one of the more understated color schemes that the Spad came in, but I guess that camouflage was not exactly the goal here! John O's masterful version does a great job of displaying the distinctive Spad features: the scalloped wings, the unusual engine grill, etc. It's a pity that it is less well-known today, and that such an extraordinary individual as Eddie Rickenbacker isn't remembered as he probably should be.

Gee I forgot that I built this one. If my memory is correct this plane returned from the war and was painted up to fly around the states at air exhibitions
