The engine nacelles are also built on a beam same as the fuselage. They will actually be built on the wing but first all the formers must be cut to fit on the beam.

Must be your hardest / largest build to date. It will look fantastic and it does now

I've built larger and more difficult models and while there's definitely a lot of work, and wood, involved, I don't consider it particularly hard to build. I wouldn't recommend it to a "long time lurker, first time builder", though. The lack of plastic is actually a bonus cause balsa is easier to handle, and the shapes are all fairly simple.

This is looking great, and I'm enjoying watching it take shape. I do have to agree with you, the wood is much easier to work with than plastic. I had to substitute wood for plastic on my recent Citabria builds and it went well.

It definitely looks difficult from the lurker's perspective. What kits come to mind as having been more difficult for you, David?

All the big Guillows kits because there is so much plastic, the Dave Diels kits ( DO 335 ), the West Wings Sea Fury...It does take a lot of time prepping all the parts for this plane but the actual assembly is fairly easy.
