The 4 printwood pieces with the fuselage formers are slightly warped but that's not a problem. The date on those is 1946 but the "notcher", bottom right, is dated 1952. All the wood is very good and all the sticks are straight and sturdy. Silkspan is included and it's the same lightweight type as in larger Guillows kits. Those are wooden wheels and printed stars and bars and neither will be used. Except for some discoloration on one fold the plan is in perfect condition, as is the box. It's a collector's dream. Creosotewind 20-Jun-14 11:55 I just won (on eBay) the Cleveland "Master" series of the Shooting Star. They say it is 3/4" scale, where your kit is the 30" scale series (1/15.6 scale). It will be interesting to compare the two kits and see if there is any difference. There are four printwood sheets that are doubles (T1-T4), and one print wood sheet that is single (T5). Actually I am starting an F-16 for another museum exhibit, after that a 1/6 LOH Loach helicopter for the same museum. Then back to my own stuff. I need to finish a Sterling P-26, then maybe the F-80.
