The NAVY decal is by John Brantley at visions2001@att.net. $4.50 for the two and worth it. He doesn't say to do it but I gave them a couple of coats of Krylon clear acrylic before using them. They handled easily. Thing about decals is you have to be quick :-)

It just keeps getting better. Can't stop myself from asking, what does the AR stand for and why the E? E was the letter designating the NAS Minneapolis when I was a kid. It was on the tail there.

Thanks. The AR letters mean nothing. They are simply what I had on hand. I don't know what the E means either. I think it should have been a 3, will change that. Weight is 14 ounces.

Looks absolutely stunning Mr. DD. Really enjoyed looking at your work of art up close. Decals look great. Noted you painted the leading edges of the wings silver. Nice crisp lines. Great job. Many people may not know that the Navy painted the leading edges of their aircraft a special coat of silver to protect from the corrosive effects of the marine environment.

Thanks. I didn't know the reason, I just paint'em as I see'em.
