Your work is always on a clean, uncluttered table, and the only tools on view are brushes, Xacto knives, sandpaper or glue. The most important tools, of course, are not in the picture: the hands and eyes. I hope to someday be good enough at this so that I no longer need some of the tools I am now accumulating. David Duckett 05-Feb-14 09:11 Thank you. I'm not a tool person and I don't like clutter as it tends to be a distraction. I find it best to keep only what I'm working on in view. There's always the tendency in building a model to start hanging all the pieces on "to see what it looks like" and I'm #1 at it but I prefer to build the pieces separately and concentrate on each one at a time before doing that. The table also serves as my easel and when painting it's even more important to keep things organized. You could say it's my comfort zone. In my case the worktable is only for small household repairs and model construction. I do not need to use the table for dining, writing, or other domestic tasks. Gee my "Magic Box" of clutter weighs 15 pounds and is a truly eclectic collection of potential model parts. Dremels, balsa strippers, two Exacto sets, airbrushes, circle cutters, and CA! I don't need no CA all it does is harden on the shelf and I end up throwing it away and ordering more to harden and throw away. The stuff we accumulate!
