the LG retracts and stays nested, the doors close and stay shut..I'll post a few images of that as soon as the underside panel lines are done.
The kit is fine but I ran out of funds before I could get decent decals for it..c'est la guerre - fortunately I had enough spares to make a basic representation |

Don - this image shows the transition at the top of the fuselage where the rear of the canopy got extra treatment. The sunlight reveals all lol
PS: the wrinkle in the star roundel on the fuse has been corrected |

at the rear of the canopy, top of the fuselage the canopy sat a bit proud - maybe 1/32" so I cut some balsa shavings and used extry filler to draw a flush connection and make it smooth there especially. It might have worked out. Better than had I not done the work I suppose |

the fit was interesting..in testing I could never get the same alignment twice. This is how it ended up going on before the gun sight was installed. I had been fiddling and fiddling with it - then got it aligned just right, centered along the top keel and just covering the sides of the cockpit - so I just tacked it up right then and there. It was late and I was done. Figured it could pass as an airshow restoration rather than period warplane. I can still add the iron sights to the fuselage |

Very nice. How did the canopy fit? I had some problems, but it cold have been my fault too.

radio mast installed. After the LG is complete I'll attach the prop blades and string the radio antenna wires and call it good.

That's anything but plain. |

thanks Don..the retractable gear has me smiling.
Wish i could say the same for the poor Guillow decals.
Could not get that shark mouth to conform to the curves no matter how much solvent I used. The tail codes have already silvered and they're the only ones I used. Fortunately I had some spare star roundels and a few other bits in my drawer.
