Thanks Jerry. Maybe I'll get around to applying my panel lines to the bottom surfaces, too. |

Feel free, I and I'm sure others on this site are putting out techniques etc. for sharing with other modelers. I certainly copy others and even have asked people how they did certain things so I could duplicate. |

That looks fantastic! Hope you don't mind if I copy this on mine! |

Check the comparison that I loaded into my hangar of the drawing off the Guillow's plan with a supposedly accurate drawing of a Bf-109C/D that I got from a German web site. The Guillow's version is definately stand off scale! |

The radiator components are ready to complete the B nose. The black on former 1 is so the radiator screen will show up. |

The nose air intake has been cut away and the vac nose has been temp tacked into place. |

Also check the horizontal stab location. |

Sorry Jerry, I didn't know there were "V" types at all. I was making a little joke. As you've found out as I did the Ser. 500 109's design is quite....."Vague". They just made this thing up. The discrepencies abound. That's why I tried a bunch of different and new (to me) techniques on mine. Sorry again. Phil. |

pfinn. The V used by German aircraft manufacturers stands for versuchs (experiental). Versuchs aircraft were usually handmade one of a kind that was built in advance of "O" series pre-production machines that may or may not go into production. There were a number of versuchs 109s, hence 109V-1, 109V-2, 109V-3 etc. However in looking at numerous photos of 109s I’ve not seen any thing that resembles the air intake on the vac nose supplied by Guillows. To which rare 109V do you refer? |

The vac nose fits together nicely, but the shape is wrong and will have to be re-built, I just hope I'm capable. |

Actually Jerry, after in depth research, this is a very rare version unknown to many. It's the "V" model. |

Getting started. I always make copies of the plans in order to cut them apart in order to work on smaller pieces or in the case of plans printed on both sides the extra printe plan allows me to refer to information or drawings on the other side. |

One really can't have too much reference. Besides books I use the photos of models printed off of the internet. |
