I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Had a neighbor who was a WW2 P 61 pilot. Wouldn't you have guessed that he owned an early Corvette. Didn't understand The Right Stuff being 8 yrs old but he definitely had it.

Thanks. This was fun. I think next will be something larger- something that I can see. I just saw one of these on EBay for $159. Maybe that would have been easier :).

Sweet Build Don!!! Whats next?

Thanks, Brian. I guess they flew well and with 4 "50's" and 4 20mm canon it probably was not good to be in front of them.

Thank you. I'm thinking that I should have put a coat or 2 of Krylon on the decals before applying them. They were really thin and hard to move into place.

Beautiful work.

looks like a true fighter!

By the way, it got the last 2 aerial kills of WWII.

Could have used the extra nose length to get the nose art more properly placed. A bit more forward.

The box says P-61C, but I'd say it was actually the "A" model . Lacking the 8" nose extension and 2 part main gear doors that were added in the "B" model.

DEtails at this scale are tough, so the landing gear are strictly kit.

The decals were exactly the size of the detail. No extra and quite thin. There were a few headaches.

It's done!

That's why I always paint on a light color first:-)

Thanks, DD. Boy does gloss black show every little imperfection. Thought that I had done a good job of sanding.

Looking good!

Basics done. Cockpit glass and other details tomorrow.
