The engine is a resin cast I made from a rubber mould of the Revell 1/32 P-47 kit. The engine is not accurate for this aircraft but when the kit is complete it should look OK.

I really like this, you`ve done a great job! I have a soft spot in my head for T6s. Did the engine come in the kit?

The panel lines were added with Evergreen polystyrene strip. The model has been undercoated and sprayed silver. Now it's time to tackle the cockpit and undercarriage.

You can see here that I have rebuilt the frame without any of the kit parts, these were however very helpful in fabricating the new parts. Thanks to the ply the finished fuselage is extremely strong.

Fuselage frame nearly completed. I have lined the cockpit area with 1mm sheet and will scratch build a cocpit to be inserted later from plastic.

I have re-cut all pieces so far and have used ply and thick balsa for the ribs and formers. This will help when I line the fuselage in 0.25mm polystyrene sheet.
