I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I'd go with Ed's directions.

I look forward to seeing the build! As for parts placement, I always look for where I need strength and place the parts with the grain in that direction. Wing ribs are just about always chord following the grain. Formers can be either direction, depending upon if you need strength in a particular direction. It may also be dependent on the build method. I think Sterling builds the fuse one half on the plan. In that case, the formers generally run grain along the longest axis. For models where the former are one piece (like a lot of the Comet models) the grain runs left to right. Wing/elevator/rudder tips are always interesting because they are usually rounded. I place them with the longest line with the grain. Again, I think strength is the prime consideration. This is the way I've always set up for scratch building, but I'm sure others on the group have some opinions!

I said it came without the wood but it does have the stabilizer and rudder built so I think they got frustrated and threw the wing and fuselage away. I need to cut new ribs and formers and not sure if they should be cut with or against the grain. All help appreciated.

Just got this off ebay for $10. It is 1:12 scale and does not have wood but all the plastic parts, decals and plans. When I finsih the current Dumas P-26 this will be the next build. Unlike the Dumas which is built and painted in the style of the prototype this one will be tradition blue and yellow.
