Bill, I can just feel the love there! House of Balsa still carries this for about two bucks. Thanks for the tip. I bought a triangle at the hardware store, it's sized just right for your "larger" aircraft.

AHA, so the AMA is good for something then, huh? *wink*

Someone I spoke with at the AMA EXPO 2011 gave me a great tip for setting formers perpendicular to the keel, use Lego blocks. I'll try it on my next build and post photos.

The upright jig was manufactured by House of Balsa. I don't know if they are still available. Charlie

Yes a 301 Champ. James is going to move this build to its proper place in my album - seems I missed that step when uploading. Will maiden when I recieve a peck prop and better rubber. Charlie

One one of your pics I saw a plastic jig or square you used for the formers. Could you tell me where you got that?

Beautiful! Perfect covering and just enough color to make it interesting.

Guillow's AERONCA CHAMPION Item: 301 Wing Span: 24" Scale: 1/18

This is a really clean plane. I am fairly certain it isn't a Grumman Hellcat, so what is it really? Guillow's Series 300?
