After 2 Guillows kits, it is time to do a Comet kit. This is a great kit with good wood so I am using the wood in the kit. Besides I have a couple extra of these kits sitting around. I will pretty much build per the plans, but as we all know, Comet leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I did have to open up the formers a little to add room for the rubber. I built this kit back in the mid 80s for a competition and it flew great. Of course I did enlarge the stab and rudder and beefed up the nose and wing. |
