at top is wing used to make mold, and at the bottom is the firebrick mold. The firebrick mold then goes in to kiln for slumping. This is technique where glass is heated to the point it becomes flexible, and contours to the mold.

Note the large amount of rudder offset, mostly to counter the port wing's drag flap. There is also a fair amount of right and down thrust, working against the torque.

Not a Guillows Hurricane, but a scratch built one, about the same size. It is a little battered after years of flying and repairs. The port wing has a drag flap to keep it from spiralling to the left.
