I was going through a box of old photos and thought I'd share this. It is an 8 foot Spirit of St. Louis that my son and I made for a company that made displays for museums and corporate events. We built two models. This one was towed across and auditorium ceiling on a cable. At the approproiate time a spot light was shined on the model then the motor started (electric, started by RC) and the PA made motor sounds). It worked fine and its now on display in the Science Museum. We made a second on which was the center piece in buffet table for a corporate party. It was a better model since it had to be seen up close

covered with plastic film, Monocoat on wing is a little too strong for the light structure.

This was a WACO fly in at Creve Coeur airport where the Robin is stationed. I thought I'd share this stunning Waco with you.

At this point it weighs just under 9 ounces. I'm in the process of covering now, plastic film since it more durable than tissue.

Zeke is my building buddy. I don't think he understands why I spend so much time on something that doesn't even smell good.
