I decided to go ahead and add the stringers and the parts to support the wing before moving on to the wing construction. I really enoy putting stringers on laser cut models because of how accurately cut the notches are.

The nacelle and two fuselages are as far along as I can get them before adding the stringers. I'm torn between building the LG before adding the stringers and adding the stringers now and trying not to break them while adding the LG later.

I was unable to confirm this detail on existing build logs here at the VA. If you are going to build the rudder-fins per the "action plan" then you have to put a 1/16" square piece across the end of the fuselage like this. When I glue the keel down it will be to the top of the 1/16" square piece.

One half of one of the fuselages is nearly done. This is no small model!

I'm stopping the nacelle at this point for now. This way I prioritize building with sheet wood and leave myself lots of room to work on the LG.

Standard die-cut wood on top is 117g, the laser cut wood on the bottom is 111g. Not an exact comparison due to a change in the number and size of the 3/32" sheets, but still a reasonable comparison. My other kit from 10 years ago tips the scale at 173g!

It is simply a standard die-cut kit with the laser cut parts and part map slipped in. Production kits have part ID's on the blasa sheets so no map needed for them.

A painting by David Duckett titled"Raising Arizona" just returned Sat. from the frame shop. This was given to me during my visit with him. It looks great hanging in my den.
