Attached to the plane. The keyhole attachment is very solid, yet easy to remove for transport. You can see the footballs and antenna in place as well.

Parts are coming together. I attached the hard point body to the wing using screws. I cut keyhole slots in the wings, insert the screw heads and slid them back. Worked out great. Very solid attachment.

The museum was getting anxious so I got it prepped to hang without some of the hardware. Ted was helping me by turning some bombs on his lathe.

No room on the couch (davenport) to sit down. You can bet I did not walk through the house with it assembled. I could barely handle the 3' wingspan of the Piper Cub without hitting something. Good thing I'm not a pilot.
