All done, straight out of the box with no modifications other than moving the motor mount foward to assist with rubber installation. Total weight with clay in the nose is around 50 grams.

Used the white tissue in the kit. Was a little stiff so I applied it damp. Here are pictures after shrinking prior to doping. No wrinkles.

Structure is build, not too impressed with the fit of the die crushed parts. The wings and the cabin will not be a smooth transition.

A lot of sanding to fix the die cut parts. The notches are too big for the stringers so will have to add some filler pieces.

I am building another Aeronca, this time straight out of the box. I am building the older version, comes with lighter wood and 6 inch Guillows prop. If this does not fly I will build one more with quality parts. Since the wood is die crushed, I am using Testors wood cement instead of Elmers Glue All.
