| During a pre-Easter out of town trip we were able to make some templates for a simplfied profile version of the S-99. For the wings we are using an earlier Guillows Bf 109 model of about 11 1/2 wingspan. It should build up pretty quick. |

| Our next swing control project. A 500 series Me 109 converted to an Avia S-99 modified for swing control flight. The S-99 was a Czech built Me 109G-10 with the DB 605 engine. Czechoslovakia had airframes and about 20 of the DB engines for this version. They built more of the Jumo powered version designated the S-199, some of which were used by Israel. The Czech S-99 were used by their civil air police. Note the civil registration and modified insignia. |

| Future provides a glossy base for applying decals + i used bits and pieces from five different sheets> three after market sheets and two old left over kit sheets |

| The early 109 exhausts were simple, but tedious to make. Cutting out each exhaust pipe from plastic tubing, painting them and then gluing them to a piece of black painted paper, then gluing the paper to the nose took some time. |
