Covered and ready for Magic filler and sanding. Poppy, like silkspan, wings much less complicated than the fuselage. Single sheet for wings, 8 pieces for fuse.

No, it's not a duck decoy. Right wing skinned with 1/32" balsa. Stabe and rudder carved 3/32" stock. Practice on the little boys makes the bigger boys that much easier.

Little sucker came out pretty true. It's resting on 1/32" sheet balsa which I'll use for covering.

Formers and fuselage side were attached to 1/16"" sheet balsa for added strength. Added an extra row of stringers atop sides, set back 1/16" since I'll practice sheet covering on this one.

Tail feathers with de-icing strips. A good day today, By tomorrows' end only the fuselage should be left. Wings and rudder assembly off to storage. They've been handled enough.

Any blemishes or scatches... you use a little Future acrylic floor polish. This stuff works wonders. I used it for plastic models and for clear on balsa, Bingo..same results.
