This is actually the Dumas version of the Fairchild PT-19. This is a walnut scale model with a 17 1/2" wing span. Dumas Kit #224.

Just about ready to be papered. I plan on painting this one blue with a light blue bottom.Here it is with the propeller and rubber motor installed. I haven't glued anything yet.

The Dumas kits are very lightweight flying models. So I added a few extra stringers and ribs. I took two of the 6" stock kit propellers, cut them down, crossed lapped to a hub made from the end of a ball point pen cap. I just need to paint it black and I'll have a scale looking prop for the Dumas F4U Corsair.
