Wire cabane struts covered with wood, shaped, and permanently attached to the fuse.

Extra effort. The cabane struts wire is epoxied into the fuse to keep the proper alignment. Their tops fit into brass tubing so I can remove the wing. When the epoxy sets I can remove the wing and laminate them with wood, then add cross bracing.

As you can see I chose to sheet the botoom of the wings with balsa...the tops get poly span....hopefully tomorrow.

Metal staps glued into the upper and lower wing. Struts fit over the staps and nuts and bolts will hold it all together. Wings removable for transport.

Upper wing was feamed in three sections and joined. All wing tips clipped as was the case with many Stearman dusters.
