| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 14-Mar-08 05:00 | | | Views : 5570 | | The Corsair is ready for her maiden, AUW is 53 grams. I will add more detail after it has flown. I have two seperate sources that say the wing area and weight are a good match to the motor, battery, and prop, but the thrust just seems weak to me. |
| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 11-Mar-08 13:46 | | | Views : 5007 | | I decided the 5" prop may be too large for the direct drive motor and switched it out for a 4" prop. It is identical to the prop that put the One Nite 28 into the top of a tree, so it should be good enough for this bird. |

| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 10-Mar-08 04:06 | | | Views : 5359 | | Plastics are a terrible fit! Downright disgraceful on the oil coolers. Weight as shown is about 47g, flying weight should be around 50g. |
| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 10-Mar-08 04:03 | | | Views : 1461 | | Fuselage under the wing is assembled and covered. Not my best covering job ever, but it'll do. |

| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 27-Feb-08 04:53 | | | Views : 1478 | | The hole in the cowl for the thrust bearing has been filled in to provide a tight fit. I am also going to scrap the idea of a portable power unit and just glue this one in place (loosly installed motor = bad vibrations). |
| SteveM | Dumas Kit #213, F4U Corsair | Build | 27-Feb-08 04:49 | | | Views : 1409 | | The F-15 canopy cleared up nicely with Furture. Two more test pieces but using some spare F-15 tail feathers. |
