| I have been getting my hiney kicked by Poppy's canopy despite all I learned from my first victim, DD. The plan is to fill the wood grain with Hobbylite then shrink down a thin layer of plastic to provide a smooth surface for the canopy. |

| The first coat of resin is sanded down and 1/8" sheet has been applied around all edges to ensure a little excess plastic to work with when demolding and trimming to fit the plane. The purple disk is some extra resin, it is hard as a rock. |

| Poppy's canopy mold arrived today, shown here inside the kit canopy and with the stock plans. The finishing resin is said to provide a heat resistant surface to protect the wood from dents and dings and to sand to a smooth finish. |
