Don: Your local Hobby Lobby should have some K&S vinyl sheeting in thicknesses from 0.005" up to 0.030". It looks like you are the right track trying to form the clear over a form. The vinyl sheeting is much more forgiving than clear styrene or Vivak when wrapped around a form and heated with a heat gun or hair drier. Just take it easy on the heat: When the edge of the vinyl curls you are just past "there". BTW: I have used short pieces of PVC pipe to get the right curve. No easy answers I'm afraid.

Thanks everyone. Our local hobby shop closed up after Christmas. Closest one now is 90 miles away. Looks like on line shopping. Onward and upward!

I hate it when that happens. I have to drive to Sioux Falls or Sioux City [at least 100 miles to either city] or to Omaha to find a Hobby Town.
