| edtherenderman | 13-Dec-20 20:16 | | Top of aircraft. I completed sanding and filling, covering with tissue and first few coats of primer. Need to so some minor filling and sanding. |
| edtherenderman | 21-Dec-20 08:25 | | Still working on the XP-67. Spent hours wet sanding and re-priming this weekend. The fuse is now supper smooth! All those years working on car bodies really paid off. However, I do have just a few low spots that the filler-primer didn't take care of, so not quite done.
I have a question for the group. This plane was painted Olive Drab all over. Can any suggest an accurate USAAF OD premix in a spray can? |
| BriandKilby | 21-Dec-20 09:52 | | looks like you like to do a lot of x-plane looking projects, ed. super! |
| edtherenderman | 21-Dec-20 11:11 | | Yes. I really like the unusual. I do have a bunch of Guillows/Comit/West Wings kits to build also, but I'm really enjoying the full aspect of scratch building, and doing these one-off aircraft is a real challenge since there is often so little documentation. |
| BriandKilby | 21-Dec-20 12:04 | | where do you get your west wing kits from, may i inquire?
