A masterpiece!! Your Friend will be truly impressed with the craftsmanship and true representation of his relative's aircraft.

Thanks, Poppy. The real Noght Prowler, and other planes of the same wing, did not have the black anti-icing strips. Mr. Kaye wanted it painted to match the illustration in the article so I did. Actually I would have painted them anyway because they definitely add interest. Call it artistic license.:-)

David: I have been building balsa models for a short while now, and your builds are fantastic tutorials. Based on your continuing use, I'd like to try using heavyweight silkspan, but I can't find it available on the web right now. Could you share your source? Thanks for all the great lessons you've taught me so far!

It arrived last Wednesday but I have heard nothing since. I told Bob it would cost between $800 and $1000 and when I sent it and charged the 1K, he said he was "surprised" because I had said $600-800. He did send the check. No mention of the painting, either. He watched the plane being built from day one and said privately how much he liked it.

In my humble opinion, if I ask David to build this master piece, and he got it PERFECT, no matter what the cost, it's "PRICELESS!!!!".
