| deckape | 28-Apr-11 14:02 | | 1959 Sterling Nieuport 28 same series as my SE5 Scout I built this when I was in the Navy I bough it in the ships store I paid $3.00 for itas soon as we pulled in subic Bay the Phillipines I went t a hobby shop in caviti I got some dope and silk useing Areo glioss dope creme color pigments dop I brushed on 6 coats the model flew 4 times burned up the engine it was again a McCoy .19 has,nt flown scince it was hung up all those years most of everything i had scince boyhood my parents kept it for me and never gave it away even when married I kept them there until I got settled with a home. |
| lukebozek1 | 29-Apr-11 06:30 | | When I went in the service my brother emptied my room out, clothes shoes and airplanes. Somewhere I have an old bamboo fly rod and a Pflueger fly reel. I will get thos back because he hated fishing. This is really a beautiful plane, another great build. |
