| frwyflyer | 14-Mar-09 09:22 | | One of the techniques that we used to make aerospace trade show models was to use "canned insulation foam" from a home improvement store to fill the cavities between formers and stringers. All that was left to do was take a "sure form" rasp and remove any foam that bulged over the tops and then 80 grit paper on a sanding stick to smooth it further before laying up with resin and glass cloth. In the "biz" time is money and this technique saved hours of time. |
