The tail wheel and bomb rack are made of Jeluton wood I got from frwyflyer and has been a godsend in making small detail parts.

It does beat balsa for these small parts. Do you need more? I have your address

The name is Jelutong. I get it from Austins in Santa Ana, CA

Jelutong is the native tree of tropical asia. Grown in rain forests ranging from southern Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia. It is ideal for carving and pencil manufacturing. Thanks for the info, I haven't tried Jelutong on my scratch built models although we have plenty of them.

I thought you might recognize Jelutong. It might be just a little heavy for flying models. Balsa is much lighter.

frwyflyer - Thanks but I've still got plenty, in fact you sent enough that I was able to take half to London, where we are starting to spend most of our retirement.
