Does anyone happen to have an unbuilt Guillows kit series 300 of the Fi 156 Storch that they would be willing to sell. It is out of production.

Jerry, I have a couple sets of plans (pdf) for the Fi 156. Not Guillows, but very similar. I can e-mail them to you would like. Phil

Phil, I have a couple sets of plans including the Guillows plans that DD graciously sent me some time ago. I also have the 30" Dumas kit, however the Guillows kit is 1/24th scale (24"), and it is easier to build a kit if I can find one rather than scratch building from plans. But thanks for your offer.

I need plans for it! I have been looking everywhere for them. And i really want to make one for my dad, because when i was 3 years old he had a Fi 156 with 3 meters wingspan. And he traded it for a heli.. and i made sure he felt bad for it. So i want to give him one with something like a meter of wingspan.

As Jerry said, Dumas makes a kit with a 30" wingspan.

Jerry they have a laser cut short kit at http://dpcmodels.homestead.com/ that is drop dead gorgeous. They don't have plans, but will send a pdf file to your e-mail address. I have this in my to do list and it is perfect. It is based on the 300 series guillows.

One note, they don't have the decals, but that should not be a problem for you.

Sweet! I never knew that DCP had those short kits available. Thanks Lukebozek1. Phil

lukebozeck1 I looked at the dpcm site and have already ordered a short kit of the Storch. As I said I have the Guillows plans, getting the laser cut short kit will be a godsend. Thanks loads

You need to check in with this company. They are always working on something new, it is possible that they might even have a short kit for a Mosquito wing. The DR-1 which I purchased is a beautiful kit. Laser cut parts and excellent plans. A very nice kit at a very nice price.

what classifies a model as a short kit?
| pfinn | 22-Jul-11 23:26 |
A "Short Kit" is usually just any "Shaped" parts, in this case the laser cut parts. Any stringers or sheeting, covering is not included. Some include a vac canopy (if needed) some not.

No wheels, no plastic or rubber. The "short" kit does have the wood material for a balsa cowling. No strip wood or spars for the wing. You need a few pieces for the leading and trailing edge.
