| David Duckett | 17-Dec-07 17:49 | | OK, so I do have some help.... |
| moostang51 | 17-Dec-07 18:34 | | Those nacelles should glue up nicely. What is that, 1/8 sheet stock to fill in before sanding? Some technique on the underside? |
| David Duckett | 17-Dec-07 19:08 | | It's 3/32" and is duplicated on the bottom. |
| sly812 | 18-Dec-07 06:06 | | Hi DD, I notice that your leading edges are not formed yet, do you find that it is easier to sand them after??? |
| David Duckett | 18-Dec-07 06:59 | | Much easier!! The instructions say you MUST taper and shape the leading edge before installing it but I don't agree. Tapering is a must but trying to carve it into a rounded shape is a nightmare. As it is here, I've used a xacto to match the LE to the curvature of the ribs and then sanded it. Now the remaining shaping can easily be done with a sanding block and very little carving will be required. |
