| It was a special event for me to see the 17 coming in at home town airport. The sounds of the 4 engines cutting back on power and the pop, pop of an engine backfiring as it touched down like a eagle. |

| Just happened across this one, DD. You're right on the sound. If you're interested in hearing it again I took 2 take off videos (on a cheap camera) of the EAA's Aluminum Overcast a few years back. |

| Strapped in in waist for the to and landing. Got to move around during the flight. Sat in the bombardier's chair until they said others wanted to too. JFamazing! |
