Might even be better at 1/3rd scale..such a beautiful design - they should still be flying CAPs for the Navy. The Superbugs are not even nearly as capable - or pretty |
| David Duckett | 07-Sep-20 20:59 | | There's one on permanent indoor display at the Pima Air Museum just down the road, all shiny and sh...stuff and it is absolutely gorgeous. I saw one in flight only once here at Davis-Monthan in an air show. He came across the runway at about 200' with the wings back (God, what a sound!) and then made a hard bank left as the wings unfolded and he flew away with afterburners lit. Any jet is impressive but that was the most amazing display of sheer brute force I ever saw. |
