| John M Oshust | 27-Apr-08 14:01 | | Organized confusion. The fuse is sheeted with 1/8 in balsa.... this thickness is a new experience for me. Maybe I need to buy a nailgun! |
| John M Oshust | 27-Apr-08 14:06 | | I added an extra 1/4 by 3/8 stringer between the pit and tail saddle. |
| sweetwillie | 27-Apr-08 14:13 | | Why use 1/8 I would still use 1/32. |
| John M Oshust | 27-Apr-08 14:21 | | The structure is based on 1/8. The kit provided all of the wood. There are very few stringers. The fuse is 38 inches long. Armour for combat! |
| SteveM | 27-Apr-08 16:26 | | This beast when built to plan would weigh 7-9 lbs and use a 0.60 to 0.90 cu. in. 2 stroke, that's on the order of 1-1.5 kW if using electric power. But my read through the manual showed 1/16" wing and tailfeather skins and 3/32" fuse skins. But that is for the newer kit and not this one, so 1/8" fuse skins are not out of the question. |
