The toy shop finally took a delivery of these (I say finally, I've only been waiting 4 days but you know how it is...). Only question now is exactly what is used for what?

The only place I saw this shrinking dope is in the UK. Is this sold in the states?

"SIG" makes a product called Nitrate Dope that has "shrinking" properties in the US.

Thanks! I will check that out. I just picked up several pints of thinner and dope, but they will be replaced at some point.

So what exactly are the two types of dope for? I read in the Guillow's book that you have to dope the frame to seal the wood before putting the tissue on, would I use the non-shrinking on the frame and the shrinking on the tissue?

Hey PC, that sounds like a good guess to me, but I have only used the "light spray of acrylic drawing fixative" with tissue. However, have you checked out this fellow's site? http://www.ffscale.co.uk/comp1.htm pretty good step by step and he is in UK and using that brand of dope!

Many thanks for the link, that's exactly the sort of step-by-step guide I've been dying to find!
