| CPN | 13-Jun-10 18:08 | | I have removed all the wood I think I can. |
| frwyflyer | 14-Jun-10 05:19 | | What would you guess the weight to be at this point? Very nice three bladed prop. Did you make it? |
| CPN | 14-Jun-10 10:00 | | The prop is two peck 5 inchers Gorilla Glue'ed together. It looks good from here, but up close, all three blades are at slightly different pitches. Anyone out there know how to make a good, flying three blader? As for weight - I have no idea, but the kit wood was good quality, light wood and the stringers are very light. I don't want to say "contest grade" because I'm not sure what that really means, but they are really light. I usually cover with silkspan, but I'm doing this one with esaki. I'll try and wrangle up a postal scale - maybe the wife has one. |
| frwyflyer | 14-Jun-10 13:19 | | Thanks. It is LOOKING GOOD!! |
| pakasit1812 | 15-Jun-10 12:45 | | You need a real good jig to glue 3 blades equally on to a spinner.
Try it on clay. |
