| Nice "Foam Jet" Ray - is that a special type of foam (plastic foam?)that they use for RC models? |
| rayl | 10-Feb-17 21:30 |
| Nope. It's just Dollar Tree foam board ($1.00/20" X 30" sheet) that I removed the paper from before using it. Don't know if there are Dollar Tree stores up north. |

| exceptional results rayl! how are you going to get the fan unit in there? |
| rayl | 11-Feb-17 08:26 |
| 3 channels: throttle and elevator/elevon mixing. Got a new DX6i Xmttr for the mixing feature.
WHEN the fan unit gets here, I will cut a hole in the bottom of the fuse and install. I made the provisions to do this during the build. |

| Ray, I was lucky to have won a DX6 last fall at our club fly-in. Looking forward to its use this spring. |

| Ray - you have me interested in "foamies" now. We have "Dollarama" stores in Canada that sell Elmer's - "Ross Foam Board" display boards - 20" x 30" x 3/16", $1.25 . I actually have a couple of these that I use for taking pictures of my planes with natural light coming through the balcony sliding glass doors using no flash. I found this great "Flight Test" article on building and flying R/C with "Ross Foam Board" and "Adam's Readi Board" (DTFB or Dollar Tree Foam Board) https://flitetest.com/articles/ross-foam-board |
