| BriandKilby | 11-Feb-14 17:45 | | how does the twin engine control line control? is it difficult? |
| BillParker | 11-Feb-14 20:05 | | non counter rotating props make the plane want to roll right. Rolling right is a good thing in u-control, as it keeps both of the props pointed away from your head... Pain in the butt ot get them both fired up and fueled equally tho... |
| David Duckett | 11-Feb-14 20:09 | | Good job on a tough kit! Do you have separate motors for ALL your models or are you using the same two over and over?:-) |
| BriandKilby | 12-Feb-14 06:53 | | did I give a you a black widow diels plan? I can't remember if did. |
| JohnG. | 12-Feb-14 09:03 | | Ah Man....The Black Widow. Little known Warbird...Great build, Bill |
| poppy | 12-Feb-14 09:41 | | Beautifully done! |
| BillParker | 12-Feb-14 14:57 | | I have a box full of motors, some of which actually run... I'll use my two .051 COX engines for this on tho... Thank you all for your kind words... This was an E-Bay special, and old. The decals in this kit went over to the dark side about 20 years ago. I have some self adhesive latex sign material, and made stars and stripes out of that stuff. Brian, yes, you did give me that plan. Unfortuanately, that plan is a blow-up from a peanut version, and if blown up again, it wouldn't work very well. This is the vintage Sterling kit. Almost as coveted as the Guillow's B-29... Oh, and... my Mother painted the canopy lines for me. No kidding! Thanx Mom! |
| hjlittman | 12-Feb-14 15:18 | | Yes, it can be a pain to get both motors running well at the same time, but isn't the sound exhilarating when you do? |
| BillParker | 13-Feb-14 09:11 | | *LOL* I won't share my personal physical reaction to that sound, but suffice to say that it is VERY exciting! |
