| Creosotewind | 02-Sep-08 15:54 | | The new piece is still being worked. The crimped pieces will be hammered out. Most of the initial rough shaping was done by working the metal with my fingers. As you work the metal, it hardens. If it gets too hard to work, heating the metal softens, or anneals it, making it easy to work again. Hard to judge with this gage of aluminum, but part of the tool kit. |
