Typical Spitfire needed a lot of weight up front and painted with rubber ready for flight currently weighs 94 grams. I will build this complete series but on my next builds I may leave off painting. So far she flies great with kit supplied rubber and prop combo. |

I also have the frames built for a LC 405 Warhawk. It's frames weigh out at 31 grams. How much does your Spitfire weigh ? |

| scigs30, Image # 40144 | 25 Apr 18 16:32 | Not happy with this build but I do have another Guillows Laser cut Spitfire for the future. This one weighs close to 100 grams with balanced and rubber added, trim flights look good so far. I did remove the tail wheel and spinner for the flights |
| scigs30, Image # 40143 | 25 Apr 18 16:31 | I was being lazy and used Design Master spray paint, lifted badly when masked and looks too orange. I should have used my airbrush and thinned Testors paint. I sure do miss the old Pactra Military Dope colors. |
| scigs30, Image # 40142 | 25 Apr 18 16:29 | ready for paint |

| scigs30, Image # 40137 | 25 Apr 18 16:27 | The kit Silkspan is great, cover wet with 2 pieces for the entire fuselage. |
| scigs30, Image # 40136 | 25 Apr 18 16:26 | Building one of the high quality lasr cut kits from Guillows, right out of the box for freeflight on rubber. The laser cut parts go together fast with quality balsa. |
