The trim is all kit decals. They went on easier than I anticipated. I've been wanting to do a Piper Cub for sometime, now I've scratched the itch. My current itch is the S.6B float plane.

Another great model for your hanger. This is beautiful!! How did you do the trim?

It ain't a Piper unless it's yellow. Beautiful paint and covering job.

The prop is carved, sanded, sealed, painted, Futured, balsa wood. The metalic retaining plate is 1/64th plastic sheet.

It was more of a time consuming build than I expected. |

Lovely job. Is the prop real wood or painted plastic?

Nice cockpit, I especially like the effect you have done for the panelling on the floor. Great job Jerry!!

So it's photo-etch? Your detail is superb. I just finished a cockpit tub w/ ejection seat and instrument panel, and I couldn't get anywhere near as fine detail as yours. And I thought mine was OK. I'll post pics as soon as I can get my computer to upload onto VA.

No decals, each instrument is painted on the back side of the acetate and individually cut from the acetate sheet, then glued individually to the black painted plastic panel.

Jerry, how did you do it? It's beautiful!! Is that a decal behind a panel?
