This Curtis Hawk is a walnut scale by Dumas aircraft. Walnut scale = all wing spans are 17 1/2". these Dumas kits feature laser cut parts and come in 22 different airplane model kits, but cost more than the 500 series Guillows. They are light weight, rubber powered flying models with very little scale detail - such as no instrument panel, scale propeller, etc. I usually add extra stringers and it is fun to add scale details.

The rubber is stretch wound to about 600 turns. Note the balsa wood blast tube to protect the fuselage from a possible break in the rubber.

Completed model, waiting to be wound. The plane comes in at 102g. Despite the weight, it is a stable flyer, although a little fast.
