This was after several very nice flights. I had to add quite a bit of lead to the nose to offset the solid tail feathers, but it still flew very well. scirocco14 11-Sep-09 17:22 OK, now this is getting fun! Today I experienced my first "chase" as I put more winds into the motor and launched it in my front yard. It climbed and circled over my house and nearly landed on my neighbor's house, which is HIGHER up on the "mountain" where we live. Time to find a larger flying field!! This may be a 50 yr old plane and design, but it flies really well! The glide is amazing (to me) as my other planes have been scale models but this is a "purpose built" design. I can only imagine what would happen if I built the tail feathers lighter and was able to take some of the lead off the nose...hmmmmm... Mark Please sign in to comment on this image.
