I built the plane, my friend added all the hardware. |

A real beauty. Oh, the urges are returning. |

What kind of urge? I just sold my spare Top Flite P-39 kit so I can't help you there. Sure does look nice DD, it would have been great if this plane could have lived longer and shown the ARF and foamy RTF crowd real craftsmanship. |

AN EXTRA P-39???? God, I can't even find one. Behind the Spit I have a TF P-40 that I picked up on Flea-bay but an Airacobra??? |

Hm. Maybe the crash was a matter of wing load? This looks like a plane with at most 1.5 m / 5 feet wingspan that has 4 controllable rudders from what I can see (fin, elevator, aileron, flaps) and retractable gears and engine control ...? Do you still know what was the take off weight of this? |

I didn't have any part in flying it but I don't think weight was a problem. At about six pounds or so it was about normal for these kits. I suspect that I didn't build enougn aileron movement into the right wing but ??? After this Mike built his own P-47 from a Top Flite kit and it flew like a bat out of hell, as did a previous Corsair he had. |

That P40 Kit is still available and on sale for $147! |
