I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I want to shape something like this. This airscrew rotates clockwise when one faces the aero plane.
John M Oshust, Image # 3373601 Apr 15 17:30

I started by slicing the cherry blank to sizes that will permit two aircrews, a primary and a backup for when I screw up!
John M Oshust, Image # 3373501 Apr 15 17:29

So far so good. I am trying to keep my shaping down to a minimum. If this air screw does not work out I will try again.

The cross lap joint was relatively easy with the help of this “little friend”.

BillParker, Comment for image # 3372301 Apr 15 16:36
a TOR pitot tube?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 3372301 Apr 15 16:05
Rayl...do I have to? JG I had to relocate the pitot tube to accommodate the starboard rockets.

Are Ya going to run an ignition circuit?
John M Oshust, Image # 3372301 Apr 15 13:35

Ordnance completed on to airscrew fabrication!

Here we have Ogre. A flying weapons platform that has guns without sights. Rockets that do not shoot straight, if they ignite. Loaded onto a aero plane that was sluggish in maneuverability, had a slow rate of climb, with an initially installed interruptor cam that only allowed the Vickers gun to fire rapidly at full throttle, and an air scoop obstructing visibility and acting like a sail. Yet pilots were sucessful in downing enemy air craft and Zepplins. Take those pilots and put them in Camels and see what they could do!! But building Ogre is a blast!

Too Cool!

Where is Gumby, that shape shifting mass of clay, now that his powers of perception are needed? He is probably out with a Mexican art gum eraser hottie! He had better behave or a drug cartel could have him rubbed out!

The reference says that these "bottle rockets" are not "sidewinder" quality. It they did go off, you could never be sure where they may go. If they did fly straight, the plane would soon overtake them in flight. They were used to try to down zeppelins. Even with a target that size they were hard to hit. Ogre is definitely not an A-10 Warthog! Yes, three more for the starboard side!

Oh yeah...you hit it outta the park with these babies. You gonna add partners on the starboard side???
JohnG., Comment for image # 3370231 Mar 15 14:48
Looking forward to your work of perfection.
John M Oshust, Image # 3370231 Mar 15 13:50

There are a few airscrews trapped in this cherry blank. The next task is to set a four bladed one free for Ogre!

A bit of ordnance, after all the fourth of July is just around the corner!
