I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Wow, those dive brakes are huge, aren't they?! You are obviously a master of the plastic model kit as well, Poppy.

1/48" model I will use as a guide.

Another mod. Since I do not prefer to have retracts, I drilled a 1/4" hole in a 3/8" basswood block to accept a 1/4" dowel, which fits perfectly into the top of plastic l/g strut.

A small mod. Extra riblets and rear cover to compensate for exposed area when center flap is dropped.

Yea, it fits!

Moostang, this kit has a vacu-formed belly pan that have wheel wells and bomb cradle molded. Creosotewind, I use a 14"x36"x1/2" pine board. I also have a 48" board for longer wings. A small hammer is used to tap T-pins in place. Once set, holds very good and with a twist, pins are easily removed.

Poppy, DD and anyone else, what do you use for a pin board? I have used Gaterfoam with the artwork mounted directly too the board. That was good for one time, but not too practical. I seem to remember DD saying he used ceiling tile. Is that correct? Thanks

Poppy, what does this kit provide for the recessed wheel opening on the underside of the wing? I'm thinking of incorporating this feature when I construct the Mess 109 wing. I don't want retractable, just something a little more detailed than black paint.

Wing frame pinned, ready for ribs.
