The elevator push rod is installed, but the surfaces aren't glued to the fuselage yet. I'm still not sure how to do the pull-pull controls for the rudder... |

Floppy disk hinges on the surfaces. I cut out small squares cut from a 3.5'' floppy disk, sanded them a little to give the CA something to hold onto, and made slots in the surfaces. The floppy disk material is very strong, and quite flexible. |

The front section is coming together! The prop is an APC 10x4.7. The motor is a Towerpro 2409-18SS, with an 18A brushless ESC. |

Here is the motor mount. The motor bolts onto the mount with 3 small bolts/nuts. The side members are not supporting the motor at all, they are just for the top cowl to rest on. |

This is the nose cowl mount. The plastic nose cowl mounts to the front of this, and then this part is bolted to bottom of the motor mount. |

Former for the cowling, rear end. The 'wedge' is just temporary to ensure the former is built at the correct angle on my building board. |

The top dihedral (minus inter-plane struts) as now set for a more scale appearance. Hope the flying characteristics aren't negatively affected. |

Here's how the dihedral is set in place now that we can't use the laser cut holes. 1/8'' balsa is used to hold the tubes at the correct level. Should be strong enough I think (stronger that the original holes, I would think). |
